I'm fully aware about LineageOS and have had it on non e-ink devices in the past over the years. It was the e-ink center functionality that I was referring to, simply emphasising that you don't lose eink specific functionality by using LineageOs instead of the stock rom.

The Boox devices obviously are capable of running Android given that the Boox ROMs are Android in the first place. But, yes, you wouldn't bother with putting LineageOS on a device that isn't much good for anything other than reading books.
