Series number in title
I got my Libra Colour yesterday and I uploaded the books I wanted. On my old Kindle, for books that are part of a series, I used the Metadata Plugboard in Calibre to add the series number to the title when uploading the book to the Kindle. With my previous Kobo I never got it to work.
Is it even possible to get Calibre to add the series number when uploading the book? If so, how would I go about it? |

You don't need to add the series number to the title with a Kobo. Kobo takes the series information automatically from Calibre. Kindles don't have any series information for sideloaded books, that's why they needed that plugboard, but a Kobo doesn't need it.
You have to connect your Kobo to Calibre twice to get the series info transferred - first, send the books over, eject, let your Kobo process them and then connect again. After ejecting the second time, you should have your series on your Kobo. Edit: forgot to add that the metadata management should be set to Automatic in Calibre. Thanks, I got it to work. I didn't get it earlier because of the database check that couldn't be performed. I changed that and now all the series info is listed.

In addition to what Sirtel posted, you should be able to get the series info in the book title, like the Kindle.

Sirtel, can you give directions on how to turn on the metadata to automatic? Thanks.

In calibre, Preferences => Sending books to Device => Metadata management.
